Conor McGregor Tried To Throw A Chair At Eddie Alvarez During The UFC 205 Press Conference

There ain’t no press conference like a Conor McGregor press conference. Conor showed up (late again because “I just don’t give a f**k!”) wearing a mink coat and red pants and kicked things off by taking the absent Eddie Alvarez’s belt from the other side of the stage and setting it down in front of himself.

When Alvarez returned to the stage he snatched the belt back and tried to get in Conor’s face, but UFC president Dana White kept the two from tussling. He couldn’t, however, stop Eddie from taking his seat and tossing it behind White to McGregor’s feet. McGregor responded by picking it up and trying to fling it back, with Dana White tackling him the whole while.

“I wonder how much a chair would’ve cost me,” McGregor pondered afterwards, with a stern looking Madison Square Garden security guard now positioned behind him to prevent further monkey business. The rowdy crowd was clearly on Conor’s side, breaking into OlĂ© and ‘F**k you Eddie!” chants. They especially enjoyed the part of the press conference when McGregor instructed Alvarez to “suck my big Irish balls.”

The whole thing was topped with an intense face off with both fighters spitting insults at each other while Dana White stood in between, imploring them to keep their hands off each other.

White had good reason to be concerned about another fracas. Moments before, Joanna Jedrzejczyk got right in Karolina Kowalkiewicz’s face and ended up shoving her with her forehead. There’s a fine line between a shove and a headbutt, so I’ll let you decide what you think it was.

Suffice to say, it was a pretty intense time at the UFC 205 press conference. Appropriate, since UFC 205 on Saturday is going to be an intense evening. You can watch the entire press conference right here:
