While Bono continues to rest in his isolation chamber made of unsold copies of Songs of Innocence, Bruce Springsteen filled in for him at U2’s gig for the World AIDS Day concert in New York last night. He sang “Where the Streets Have No Name” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” although “sang” is too strong a word. It’s more like he growled out something resembling a U2 song. Still, it was a lot better than “Beautiful Day” (with Chris Martin).
