On Saturday night, an arsonist firebombed the North Carolina GOP headquarters in Orange County. Governor Pat McCrory has called the act one of “political terrorism” and “an attack on our democracy.” Hillsborough police reveal that the unknown culprit launched a bottle of flammable liquid through a window, which destroyed furniture and supplies for several campaigns. Fortunately, no injuries occurred, and the fire burned itself out.
An investigation is ongoing into who’s responsible for this crime, and police currently have no suspects. However, Donald Trump has directly blamed “animals representing Hillary Clinton and Dems.” He believes this atrocity has happened “because we are winning.”

State GOP Executive Director Dallas Woodhouse released a statement: “Whether you are Republican, Democrat, or Independent, all Americans should be outraged by this hate-filled and violent attack against our democracy.” Woodhouse also posted this photo of a graffiti tag on a nearby store that reads, “Nazi Republicans leave town or else.”

More photos show the destruction caused by the blaze, and the Hillsborough PD states that it will provide more information to the public if and when it becomes available.
