Donald Trump has a clear message for the American public; he’s looking to MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. You know he means business because he used all caps to relate his message. The presumptive Republican nominee for president took to Facebook to put his two cents in about the Dallas police shooting, that left five dead and seven others wounded. He told his loyal followers to stand by the police force:
“We must stand in solidarity with law enforcement, which we must remember is the force between civilization and total chaos. Every American has the right to live in safety and peace. A brutal attack at our police force is an attack on our country and an attack on our families. We must stand in solidarity with law enforcement, which we must remember is the force between civilization and total chaos.”
Trump delivered his message in his New York-based office with a compsure that showed he was not taking these killings lightly. The media mogul then went on to address the killings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, which have rocked the country over the past week.
“Racial divisions have gotten worse, not better. Too many headlines flash across our screens every day about the rising crime and rising death tolls in our cities. Now is the time for prayers, love, unity and leadership. Our children deserves a better future than what we’re making them live through today. But to get them there, we must work together and stand together.”
He closed out the video stating the best way to avoid these situations is combat poverty by creating jobs. How he will create jobs has yet to be identified.
While Trump’s earnest video message was aimed to unite the masses, his Facebook followers may have interpreted in another way. Some are calling for violence and insinuating a race war is on the horizon.
It seems that a simple condolence video has spiraled into a frightening discussion about the future of this country.
