Pretty, pretty, pre-tay great news: Curb Your Enthusiasm will be returning for a ninth season.
HBO announced that Larry David has agreed to revive his brilliant comedy series, which has always had a flexible open-door policy at the pay cable channel, where David is under no pressure to make more, but can return to the project whenever he wants.
But since it's been nearly five years since the last episode – which ended with Larry and Leon (J.B. Smoove) in exile in Paris – the odds of the show returning seemed slim. Even David admitted a while back that he was having trouble returning to the series.
Thankfully, he had a new idea. Or, as he put it in the press release announcing the ninth season, “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned.'”
