UFC 194 Live Discussion: Three Days Of Fightmas

Hey, punch friends, it’s finally here! The epic three-day, three-event experience culminating with UFC 194 with a double main-event with two titles on the line. I’m calling it Fightmas because it ends on the 12th day of December. Let’s figure out what’s going on when and how we can watch it.

THURSDAY

UFC Fight Night 80

The Fightmas ultra-weekend kicks off with Fight Night 80, a Fight Pass-exclusive card on Thursday night. The fun starts at 6:45 p.m. ET with a ton of prelims. Kailin Curran and Emily Kagan start things off in the strawweight division, plus Uproxx Sports favorite FACE SHOE is in action against Kevin Casey. Plus, we’ve got top bantamweights Johnny Eduardo and the undefeated Funk Master himself, Aljamain Sterling. The main card is at 10 p.m. ET, and while there are only four fights, they are all pretty solid. Professional Disney prince and fighter Elias Theodorou puts his undefeated record on the line against Thiago Santos (no, the other one), human Ken doll Sage Northcutt takes on Cody Pfister, Jim Miller tests his mettle against the SIK JITSU of Michael Chiesa, and in the main-event, top strawweights collide. Paige VanZant meets Rose Namajunas in what should be a fun, action-packed bout that will put one woman closer to title contention.

FRIDAY

The Ultimate Fighter 22: Finale

TUF 22 comes to a close with the live finale on Friday night. Prelims start at 8 p.m. ET on Fight Pass, with the main card starting at 10 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1. The card is looking really solid, with a co-main event pitting Tony Ferguson against Edson Barboza. The main-event is a featherweight clash between two of the very best in the division, as Frankie “The Answer” Edgar meets Chad “Money” Mendes.

SATURDAY

UFC 194

Fightmas concludes with a bonkers event, UFC 194. Prelims start at 7 p.m. ET on Fight Pass, featuring the return of Court “The Crusher” McGee, who is always fun. Regular prelims on Fox Sports 1 start at 8 p.m. ET. Two undefeated prospects, Warlley Alves takes on Colby Covington, plus Urijah Faber faces Frankie Saenz.

The main card, exclusive to pay-per-view, starts at 10 p.m. ET with a featherweight clash between two dangerous strikers in Max Holloway and Jeremy Stephens. From there, the fights should get more ground-oriented, as BJJ aces Demian Maia and Gunnar Nelson square off at welterweight, and wrestling stand out Yoel Romero fights grappling wizard Jacare Souza, with a potential middleweight title fight at stake.

Speaking of middleweight, the co-main event is a 185-pound title fight, as Chris Weidman puts his belt and undefeated record on the line against Luke Rockhold. That should be not only a great fight, but a very handsome one. In the main-event, Jose Aldo defends his featherweight title against interim champ Conor McGregor. They’ve had world press tours and face offs and belts have been stolen, but it’s finally here, these two dudes are going to fight, and it will be awesome!
