Oftentimes, running backs see success at the college level but fail to make the jump to the NFL because they just aren’t big or strong enough. Alabama Crimson Tide halfback Derrick Henry probably will not run into that issue.
The ‘Bama junior, who has rushed for 14 touchdowns and more than 1,000 yards so far this season, checks in at 6-foot-3 and 242 pounds, and — as evidenced by the video you see above — he’s an absolute beast in the weight room. Henry uploaded the video to his Instagram to let the world know that he can squat more than 500 pounds and make it look pretty darn easy. If you’re keeping score at home, that’s a lot of weight.
That’s exactly the kind of hustle and dedication you have to showcase to be able to take pictures like this with Coach Saban.
