The Bridge (FX, 10:00 p.m.) – So, two things: Number one, Season 2 of The Bridge has been wildly superior to Season 1. Alan Sepinwall at Hitfix has a pretty thorough piece about it (in addition to a lengthy interview with showrunner Elwood Reid), and I concur with almost all of his points. If you’re not watching, you’re missing out. And number two, the ending of last week’s episode was insane. I’m still not fully recovered.
Hell’s Kitchen (Fox, 8:00 p.m.) – Season premiere. Two hours of Gordon Ramsay berating people tonight, the latter of which will feature contestants trying to re-create his geoduck sashimi. “Geoduck Sashimi” would be a fantastic fake name if any of you are in the market for one.
Franklin & Bash (TNT, 10:00 p.m.) – Tonight’s episode, which is titled “Deep Throat,” features Jared and Peter defending a high school newspaper reporter who is accused of running a smear campaign. Then, PARTY AT THE BEACH HOUSE. I mean, probably.
Taxi Brooklyn (NBC, 10:00 p.m.) – Season finale. Tonight, “Leo’s son arrives with his wife, but the trip takes an unfortunate turn” and “Cat is forced to prove her innocence while caught up in an investigation.” Best of luck to all, I say. Unless they’re the bad guys. In which case, uh, worst of luck to all. I have not seen Taxi Brooklyn.
The League (FXX, 10:00 p.m.) – Jay Glazer swings by to do a big favor for Andre. My guess: He helps Andre understand Apple’s new watch. LOOKOUT TOPICAL HUMOR COMIN’ THROUGH TOOT TOOT.
Wahlburgers (A&E, 10:00 p.m.) From TV Guide: “Paul is interviewed by a reporter during a busy day.” Okay, now guess what the episode is titled. Guess. GUESS. Okay, ready? … … … … … … … … “Meat the Press.” You’ve done it again, Walhburgers.
LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Queen Latifah and Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Kimmel; Phil McGraw and Katharine McPhee on Letterman; Carrie Ann Inaba and author Lawrence Block on Ferguson; Hugh Jackman and Nick Offerman on Fallon; and Connie Britton and Ben McKenzie on Meyers.
