Congratulations America, you’ll soon be seeing more of Mr. Tom Hardy.
The British actor, who’s been keeping busy with potential superhero flicks and Mad Max reboots apparently had time in his schedule to write, star in and executive produce a new show for the BBC called Taboo. The show, which is being helmed by Ridley Scott and Hardy’s Locke director Steve Knight, is set in 1813 and follows an adventurer who returns to England from Africa with a few ill-gotten diamonds in tow and a plan of revenge after his father is murdered.
Filming for the new series won’t start until late next year but if Hardy is in it, it’s probably going to do well. At least, that’s what FX is hoping. The network has already acquired broadcasting rights to the show, which will debut in the US in early 2016.
