Two is a great age: You don’t have to pick out your own clothes yet and no one expects you to use the potty full-time. Plus, you can babble on incessantly in toddler-speak and everyone will be impressed with the noises you’re making. That’s awesome! The problem is that two-year-olds are also pretty weak, physically, which is why I can take at least 20 in a fight and why this toddler just can’t seem to blow out his birthday candle.
Check out how excited this kid is. All he wants is for the candle to be lit up so he can make a wish and then smash the cupcake it’s decorating right into his face. But what happens instead? Only failure and a reminder of how futile even his most powerful breaths are. I’m not going to ruin the entire thing for you, but it’s definitely worth watching, especially if you’re sitting at work thinking how great it would be a kid again. Yeah, the naps are cool, but at least you can burn out your own candles.
Also: The kid was given another birthday cake. He still can’t blow out those damn candles and there are so many people watching!. This is going to be a topic in therapy, I can just feel it.
