A cookout. An ’80s hip-hop-themed party. Outside Diane Court’s bedroom window. These are all the places you might find a blaring boombox. Notice an airplane is not on that list because nobody boards a plane with a boombox and then plays it, creating a public nuisance. Except two women who figured -\_(ツ)_/¯ and ended up in a huge brawl because of it.
As if you needed another reason to not fly Spirit Airlines, a flight from BOS to LAX Wednesday morning got out of control when two drunk women started blasting music from their boombox. When other passengers had the audacity to complain about the loud noise, the women asked, “What are you going to do?” Then they pumped up the volume and kept their two-person party going. And that’s when all hell broke loose.
Cellphone footage captured the boombox-blaring women and the complainers going at it in one ugly catfight. As many as five passengers were all seen throwing punches and pulling hair aboard the flight.
When the flight landed, LAX police boarded and pulled the five women off the flight for engaging in a “mutual combat situation.” All five were let go when no one wanted to press charges.
