First a superhero, then America’s Sweetheart, now Man of the Year. Can Chris Pratt just stop already? Seriously, you’re embarrassing the rest of us average, non-awesome people.
The Guardians of the Galaxy star may have had a stellar year last year, but so far, 2015 isn’t looking too bad either. After giving us #relationshipgoals thanks to his appearance with wife Anna Faris at the Golden Globes (their fights end in separate helicopter rides home, how baller is that?) he’s now officially been dubbed “Man of the Year” by Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
The nation’s oldest theater company recently named the actor’s Parks and Recreation co-star Amy Poehler as their “Woman of the Year,” but it looks like the odds might have been stacked in Pratt’s favor for the men’s category. Apparently, Hasty Pudding nerds out for Star-Lord just like the rest of us:
We vehemently deny that the members of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals are obsessed with Parks & Recreation. There is absolutely no basis to the rumors of ritualistic weekly viewings of the show at the Hasty Pudding Clubhouse… Joking aside, Chris Pratt’s recent achievements as an actor are outstanding and we could not be more thrilled to host him and celebrate his talent as only the Pudding can.
While the new label is prestigious for sure, judging from this Facebook post Pratt might have slightly misunderstood the honor Hasty’s has bestowed upon him:
Whatever it actually means, congrats to Pratt for winning what may be the tastiest title of the year.
