Hollywood stuntmen get to have all the fun, don’t they? Sliding across cars, sword and gun-play, and crashing through windows left and right. We know they exist, and that they play a major role in some major action franchises, but I think any one of us would be hard-pressed to actually identify a single stunt man or woman by name. Hell, some actors like to have their cake and eat it, too. Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie are well-known for doing all their own stunts, and obviously so is Jackie Chan.
Physicist Andreas Wahl doesn’t think Hollywood should have all the fun, and so he’s exercising his knowledge of how things work by risking his own life — theoretically, at least — in Life on the Line, an eight-part series directed by Logan & Sons’ Christian Holm-Glad.
Wahl has only uploaded three videos to NRK Viten’s Life On The Line channel so far, but they all seem like they were a hell of a lot of fun to make — especially the kettlebell swing shown above. Wahl looks extremely confident sliding through fire and with the kettelbell drop experiments, but he most definitely let out a major sigh of relief when the bullet he fired at himself lost its battle against the pool of water his body stood in (wouldn’t you?).
