My dogs favorite toy is Santa, so we brought her to see him pic.twitter.com/vPl6YMyOIz

Honestly, it is going to be a rough holiday season. It’s been an especially divisive election season, so it’s nearly impossible that you’ll make it through your visits home without deeply uncomfortable political talk. Everyone has that racist uncle. It might be hard to choke down turkey and be grateful in a time with so much unrest, but it’s still possible to find things to be thankful for. Specifically, dogs.
It is a well-documented fact that dogs are truly the best of all creatures, and Shiba Inus continue to be a reigning favorite amongst internet-goers. If you need a little pick-me-up, Kya from Orlando is here for you. Meeting Santa is a Christmas tradition for many, and Kya’s owners, siblings John and Angelina Mantaldo, decided that taking little Kya to meet the man himself was a must. Kya’s favorite toy happens to be a Santa Claus doll, so when the pup met ol’ Kris Kringle at Petsmart, it’s safe to say that she was excited. Look at that face. Apparently she took the advice of “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” literally as well.
“She just sat there and looked at him,” Angelina said. “She usually misbehaves when we take her to Petsmart, but she was behaving for Santa.”
Even when things look especially bleak, at least we still have dogs.
