Even though a Def Jam deal and appearance on XXL‘s Freshman list might have introduced Logic to most, hard work and a sense of self-realization have brought this MD MC to the latest peak in his budding career, the release of highly-anticipated Young Sinatra: Welcome To Forever mixtape.
On first listen, anyone with ears will clearly see this unassuming lyrical assassin is well-rounded in sound and aiming for the crown, rather than just pushing trendy vibes or spitting bars for the sake spitting them – like many current MCs. Via mountain-climbing tracks like “925” and the epic intro “Welcome To Forever,” along with more inverted cuts such as “5AM” and “Just A Man,” this budding rhymer shows versatility on the large scale and clearly knows how to craft album-quality material with mass appeal in mind.
Plus, the fact this Rat Pack rapper excels when paired with the likes of fellow high-risers Trinidad James, Kid Ink and Dizzy Wright only leaves us wondering how he’ll fair alongside the A-listers he’s gunning for. After the quality of this project, it seems only time will.
