About a year ago, we heard that Vincenzo Natali was going to try and make “Neuromancer” where so many had failed before, and we were skeptical. Not without reason: “Neuromancer” is nearly thirty years old at this point and adaptations have been trying to get off the ground for most of those three decades.
But, apparently, Natali might actually pull this one off. He’s at least gotten further than anybody, and they’re already in pre-production and, most importantly, selling the distribution rights to different countries. That last one is way more important that pre-production work: Hollywood will waste millions on pre-production but once distribution deals are cut, it’s go time.
