The first official trailer for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus will drop on Thursday, but we have a couple teasers for now. This prequel to Alien opens June 8, 2012 and stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, and Logan Marshall-Green as explorers on the ship Prometheus. Here’s the new synopsis to go with their unhelpfully vague previous one:
A team of explorers find a clue to the origins of man on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe… There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
The universe has corners? Anyway, the script was written by Jon Spaihts (The Darkest Hour) then rewritten by Damon Lindelof (Lost) then proofread by a tropical polar bear (it could happen). The teasers for the trailer are embedded below.
Yes, it’s come to this. Multiple teasers to promote a trailer promoting a movie that is a prequel. The snake is swallowing its own tail and raving about how delicious it is.
