I’m not sure what the phrase “punches the robot” means, but I suppose it could signify putting so many quick cuts into a film I can’t tell which robot is punching which. Or maybe it’s the insistence of Hollywood to try to make Shia LaBeouf happen. It’s a mystery.
Anyway, a new TV spot for Transformers: Punching the Robot — which Michael Bay promises will be “dork-free” — premiered during the Daytona 500 this weekend. Perfectly apt. I only watch the Daytona 500 to see cars exploding, so this trailer is relevant to my interests. Just kidding; I wasn’t even aware the Daytona 500 was happening. Yay, alcohol.
