The factory of sadness produced another barrel of tears after newly acquired Cleveland Browns linebacker Quentin Groves found out the hard way that tricking ain’t easy. On April 17, Groves, who just signed a two-year deal with the Browns worth nearly $3 million dollars, responded to an ad placed by Cleveland police offering prostitution services. After negotiating “full service” and offering to bring condoms, Groves arrived at a hotel room, only to be greeted by police officers who then placed him under arrest.
Rather than suffer the indignity of a trial, Groves pleaded no contest yesterday to a charge of disorderly conduct and paid a fine. Between the fine and the *ahem* fee he was planning to pay his fictional courtesan, the former Arizona Cardinal could have saved himself some time and embarrassment and just bought a bottle or two at one of Cleveland’s fine nightlife establishments. I’m sure he would have found a young lady more than happy to bust it wide open for any number of goons and real n*ggas.
