One thing we haven’t noted in our coverage of this Clone Saga-grade turkey is the irony that the show hasn’t officially opened yet. Technically, it’s been in previews this entire time, as a huge amount of money and time has been spent trying to polish this rancid, corn-studded turd.
Well, that’s all over now: 177 performances in, and $26.7 million in the bank (seriously), “Spider-Man: Turn Off Exit 7” is “frozen”; that is, they’re not making any more changes to the show and it needs to stagger out on its doe legs and make poppa proud.
Or, more likely, get creamed by a semi; at this point, we’re thinking either will be a relief to all involved.
