Don’t you love telling people who annoy you to shut up? Isn’t it great to to just unload a good “SHUT THE F*CK UP” on the Jesus freak gasbag with the megaphone who sits at the corner braying endlessly about how you’re going to go to hell if you don’t remake your life to look exactly like his miserable existence? Oh hell yeah it does! Which is why I try to make a point to tell people to shut the f*ck up as often as possible. It’s good for the soul and it’s also doing humanity a solid, because more often than not the person you’re telling to shut the f*ck up is someone who truly needs to shut the f*ck up.
Tapping into this obvious common rage, the infamous Youtube supercut-maker extraordinaire Mewlists has gone and done it again and made another fabulous supercut that made my morning — the 100 greatest instances in movie history in which one character tells another to shut up. It’s so good that I feel like going outside right now to find some random to tell to shut up. Maybe a tourist? Such are the perils of living alone, I suppose — no wife or girlfriend handy to issue a stern “SHUT UP!” to when she asks if I’d like it if she made me a sandwich for lunch. And no, I have no idea why I’m single.
Also, I’m so glad “SHUT THE F*CK UP FAT MAN!” from the diner scene in Pulp Fiction made it. I’d probably have to unsubscribe to Mewlists if it had not.
