Pop culture aficionados and veteran surfers of the world wide web have probably stumbled across the artwork of Derek Eads on more than one occasion whether they realized it or not. His “Give Me a Hand” piece is in fact going viral all over the place right now. There’s a reason his stuff resonates so well — he shares fascinations with Bill Murray, Nicholas Cage’s hair, Sam Jackson’s on screen deaths, and Michael Cera typecasting with myself and the rest of the internet. I celebrate his entire catalog. Even the stuff I don’t get.
Eads’s site is chocked full of geeky gems. I strongly suggest you give it a thorough examination. His best work is also available in print and laptop/phone skins. I’ve included several of my favorites here. The Boogie Nights stuff is severely underrated. In my opinion. But people tell me I look like Han Solo.
