Remember when leukemia survivor Miles Scott, AKA the almighty Batkid, saved “Gotham” earlier this year? In case all the videos of his heroic mission weren’t enough to restore your faith in humanity, there’s a new documentary in the works detailing that inspiring day. It’s called Batkid Begins:
Batkid Begins follows the events leading up to the day Batkid saved San Francisco and what happens when an event goes unintentionally viral. The goal that day was to get a couple hundred people to show up to support Miles Scott and his wish to become Batkid, after battling leukemia for more than half his short life.
You can sneak a peak at the project via its official trailer below, but the full film won’t be released without the proper funding. To help offset the production costs, the folks behind the documentary have launched an Indiegogo campaign in hopes of raising $100,000. So if you, fellow Batkid fan, feel inclined to help move this thing along, you can do so here. At the time of publishing, Batkid Begins had raised a little over 50% of its intended goal.
