A 19-year-old woman was charged with public indecency after she reportedly filmed a pornographic video inside the Oregon State University library. The woman, Kendra Sunderland, was enrolled at the school in the fall of 2014 but has since left. The video was uploaded to Pornhub some time in the last week and viewed over 250,000 times. It has been removed at the request of Oregon State University.
Steve Clark, an Oregon State University spokesman, said university leaders learned about the video on Tuesday but it is believed the film was recorded during the fall semester.
Clark said as soon as university leaders learned of the video, they took action. Oregon State Police launched an investigation and cited Sunderland.
Oregon law defines public indecency as “if while in, or in view of, a public place the person performs an act of sexual intercourse, an act of deviate sexual intercourse, or an act of exposing the genitals of the person with the intent of arousing the sexual desire of the person or another person.”
Kendra Sunderland faces up to a year in jail and a $6,250 fine. The school says the campus library’s patrolled by security and campus police but at 340,000 square feet, it’s simply too big to be monitored at all times. The video, by the way, was 31-minutes long.
