The tunnel-obsessed Mexican drug lord, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, is still on the lam after escaping from a maximum security prison. El Chapo can be seen enjoying himself in newly released photos (available at Gawker) that show him kicking back with a beer and enjoying a plane ride. El Chapo could be anywhere in the world and ruling the Sinaloa cartel anew.
Donald Trump is still in the El Chapo picture too. After boasting about his abilities to negotiate with one of the most ruthless drug lords in history, Trump turned tail. A Twitter account that allegedly belongs to one of El Chapo’s sons has issued a threat to Trump. You can see the tweet (in NSFW Spanish) here. Loosely translated, it reads as follows:
“Keep f*cking around and I’m gonna make you swallow your b*tch words you f*cking whitey milksh*tter.”
TMZ spoke with Trump, who took the threat seriously. He called in the FBI. Trump refuses to back down:
“I’m fighting for much more than myself. I’m fighting for the future of our country which is being overrun by criminals. You can’t be intimidated. It’s too important.”
So Trump draws the line at “negotiating” with El Chapo’s son, which is perhaps the smartest move Trump’s made in months. Oh, and Trump’s still waiting for an apology from the media:

CNN has some magnificent new details on the tunnel used for El Chapo’s latest escape. The tunnel was not only fully ventilated but also well lit and contained a motorcycle track. A Mexican official told CNN, “To pull off the escape, it’s likely the Sinaloa cartel had spent years infiltrating the country’s prison system.” Perhaps they anticipated El Chapo’s 2014 arrest.
