Donald Trump says that his current headline-grabbing “I can’t f*cking believe he said that” quote isn’t about John McCain anymore. It’s about the veterans, the real estate mogul says, while failing to elaborate if he means all veterans or just those who weren’t captured. If you missed the non-stop news cycle over the weekend, the former star of The Apprentice made people slap themselves in disbelief when he said that, to him, McCain isn’t a war hero, because he likes “people who weren’t captured.” Obviously, that was met with plenty of outrage, but it was also somehow celebrated by Trump’s supporters, and let’s not forget the polls:
