Dustin Diamond will be losing his freedom on January 15, more than seven months after he was convicted on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct. The former Saved by the Bell star was supposed to have begun his jail sentence over the summer after being sentenced to four months back in June, but apparently he had been appealing the decision — as if not enough taxpayer dollars had been wasted in the aftermath of his holiday stabbing and Smirnoff Icing spree.
For reasons unknown, Diamond withdrew his appeal at the Ozaukee County court Wednesday, which finally allowed a date to be set. In the meantime, here’s hoping his Christmas will be less eventful than it was last year.
