Anyone who has ever set foot in a LUSH store knows that it is a sweet smelling wonderland for cosmetics junkies. Between the body scrubs, bath bombs, and other organic offerings, it is easy to get overwhelmed. However, and even if it’s all a lot to take in, it is important to take a beat and read the directions on each little black pot. One user got a teeny bit carried away, and… well… the results weren’t pretty.
UK resident Abi Shenton misused the bath oil Razzle Dazzle, thinking it should be utilized like a bar of soap, instead of a diffused in the tub. Thanks to this highly concentrated direct contact, Abi ended up looking like a bright pink Smurf. In the wake of her candy colored dilemma, Shenton tweeted “Hi! @lushcosmetics, just a quick question, are your products supposed to stain the human skin fluorescent pink?” This prompted a very chill response from the company.
@abishenton Yikes! Please contact our friends in the UK at @LushWeCare so they can help you out with this! ❤

Luckily for Abi, a few days and some direction from a LUSH employee has returned her to her naturally occurring state.
“3 days + several baths later I am no longer pink! I misused this product! I love LUSH and will still continue to shop there… A very helpful friend of mine works at Lush and helped me remove all the pink stain with lemon juice, olive oil + a gritty face wash!”
All’s well that ends well, I suppose?
