It’s been far too long that the visually disabled have had to use like, their imaginations to get off, and one adult entertainment website is finally doing something about it. Pornhub, along with the company’s “Pornhub Cares” program — which has previously made efforts to save the whales, stop domestic violence, and educate our youth — is announcing a new philanthropic initiative: Porn for the blind!
But how exactly does porn for the blind work? Pornhub is launching a new “Described Video” category which will feature — you guessed it — audio descriptions by professional voice actors of some of the site’s best and top performing videos, as you can see in the above (safe for work) clip. For the roll out, Pornhub will feature a collection of 50 videos from a variety of straight, female-friendly, gay, bi, and transsexual categories.
But why porn for the blind? Why now? A press release helpfully explains:
Essentially, the Described Video campaign seeks to help institute a larger dialogue within Pornhub’s community with regards to how the site can not only better serve the visually impaired, but to also understand how to make the site accessible to all. Each video includes special narration that has been tailored and crafted to give the user full enjoyment of the scene and includes descriptions of the models, their actions, position changes, outfits, and settings—the original audio remains intact but will act as an underscore to the scene.
If only Helen Keller were still alive for this. I mean, she still couldn’t hear it, but we think she’d be pretty impressed, either way.
