A couple in Boulder has been robbed. The stolen item? A garden gnome. The culprit? A member of the Gnome Liberation Front. It’s a thing.
Kristine Jensen Smith and her husband David received an email with photos of the captive gnome with a poem proclaiming the gnome to be “free at last.”
“They said they renamed him Elvis and that we didn’t have respect for him because we never named him so I don’t think we’ll ever see him again,” she told 7NEWS.
The Smith home is just one to lose a gnome to the GLF. If you see “Elvis” or a group of people, one of whom has a gnome-shaped mass under his shirt, contact the Boulder authorities. That said, I totally know who did it.
