Just as decades of television has promised us, virtual reality contains the ability to awe, the power to unleash mayhem and um, the potential to stimulate an adult’s bathing suit area.  (Technology: Steadfast Friend Of The Pervert Community™) Oh, virtual reality also has the power to scare the very real sh*t out of you and me.

The video you see tucked above is currently a hit on Twitter and that’s because you get to watch a lady get freaked the fudge out by the lurching horror that is VR zombies. Twitter user @madeleinedoux informed her social media flock that “VR games are extremely f*cking legit” and provided visual evidence in the form of a 30-second clip of her co-worker Carrie playing The Brookhaven Experiment on the HTC Vive.

“I don’t like this,” notes the increasingly anxious gamer before executing a terrified twirl.

Carrie’s discomfort playing the first-person corpse blaster escalates to a big ol’ crescendo of screaming, scrunching and being fed-up with the experience. It may not have been a rootin’ tootin’ good time for this poor woman, but The Internet™ has been digging the clip a lot. The video bubbled up on Thursday night and already it’s received over 18,000 retweets. Another thing it’s received: Questions about how Carrie’s doing after her VR nightmare.

There’s an outside chance “totally doesn’t give you PTSD” will appear in the HTC Vive marketing, but it’s a longshot. Give the clip a gander and ponder how you’d do in the same scenario.
