Good news for everyone who’s missed The Duggars since it was canceled because it turns out that one of their very devout family members (loving son Josh) was actually a child molester (and a cheater…): The Duggars are coming back! Yes, only months since TLC dropped them and canceled all of their upcoming specials, the network has walked back its decision and will be airing two Duggar shows, at least one of which will be on your TV screen this year.
People reports that the specials—which will probably be testing the waters for a full-fledged Dugar return—will feature Jessa and Jill Duggar as they prepare for some very important events in their lives:
“What we will be following in these specials is Jessa preparing for her first child,” Nancy Daniels, TLC’s executive vice president and general manager, told the Associated Press, which first broke the news. “And we’ll be watching Jill preparing to make a major move to Central America with her family, which we know is something our audience will be interested in.”
Josh, of course, won’t be on the shows, but considering how close the family is, you’re probably going to see a bunch of Duggars hanging out in the background and having “touching moments” throughout. And the Duggars couldn’t be more delighted!
“We are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone with the new specials on TLC – many have asked about our mission work and about the challenges of taking our family to a different country, culture and learning a new language,” Jill wrote on Instagram on Thursday. “We appreciate your prayers.”
