Rush Limbaugh Believes NASA’s Discovery Of Water On Mars Is A ‘Climate Change’ Lie

Rush Limbaugh’s Tuesday program revolved around NASA’s discovery of water on Mars. The radio talk-show host is not a believer. NASA’s agenda, according to Limbaugh, is the leftist claim of global warming. Limbaugh thinks there’s no way to prove water exists on Mars unless humans step onto the planet’s surface, locate a preexisting ocean, and mine its depths. Otherwise, “that’s not science, and that’s not even a good wild guess.” That would summarize Limbaugh’s opinions, but he has time to fill with a speech.

During the rant, Limbaugh (who must not be a Bill Nye fan) repeatedly pokes fun at the “unknown catastrophe” laid out by NASA’s scientists. Limbaugh interprets “unknown” literally instead of using it to mean “unspecified.” Within the lengthy episode, Limbaugh admits annoyance at NASA’s methods:

“If we’re going to admit it’s an ‘Unknown catastrophe,’ how in the name of Sam Hill do we know what it was? And that it was brought on by climate change? There’s climate change every freaking place in the universe! Unknown catastrophe! There’s climate change on Jupiter. I don’t know, it just irritates the heck out of me. How can something be catastrophic when there aren’t any people around to feel a catastrophe?”

Limbaugh also labels NASA as being “corrupted” by politicians and lying to suit a leftist, climate-change agenda:

“Look at the temperature data [on Earth] that has been reported by NASA. …. made up. It’s fraudulent for however many years. There isn’t any warming. There hasn’t been for 18.5 years – and yet, they’re lying about it. They’re just making up the amount of ice in the North and South Poles. They’re making up the temperatures. They’re lying and making up false charts and so forth. … So what’s to stop them from making up something that happened on Mars that will help advance their left-wing agenda on this planet?”

The rest of Limbaugh’s program accuses NASA of feeding apocalyptic fears with “gloom and doom” prophecies relating to global warming. This extended reaction follows NASA’s simple announcement that water exists on Mars.
