During an appearance on Sean Hannity’s radio show on Wednesday, Eric Trump defended his father against allegations of harassment of former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, whom he forced to work out in front of reporters after she gained some weight while representing the pageant. The Republican candidate for president has vehemently defended those actions.

When Hannity brought up Machado’s allegations, the middle Trump son changed the subject to Bill Clinton, a practice that seems to be the Trump campaign’s new favorite strategy. “Seems like another day in the life of the Clintons,” Trump said. “This is who they are as people. This is who they’ve been for decades and decades. I mean, Hillary’s been a politician longer than I’ve been alive. Kinda hard to believe.”

“It’s amazing when you hear her talk about sexism and these various claims, which are ridiculous, aside from obviously Bill, her husband, being maybe the worst that’s ever lived,” he went on, chiding the Clinton’s for not practicing what they preach. “Politicians are all talk, no action. You can’t live one way in your private life and then speak differently in your public life.”

However, Trump said, Americans are “very, very smart” and will thus be able to “see through this garbage.”
