Four things:
1) Darren Star, the creator of Sex and the City, is going to develop and executive produce a new comedy based on the book The Honest Toddler, which is itself based on a popular Twitter account run by a woman named Bunmi Laditan. As reported by Deadline, the show is described as “a Modern Family from a toddler’s point of view.”
2) And yet, somehow, Florida Man still doesn’t have a TV show. Shameful.
3) Putting aside the issue of whether it can actually be developed into a quality show that runs multiple seasons, I would just like to say that “a [insert title of popular television show] from a toddler’s point of view” is a pretty fun idea to play around with in short bursts. “A Breaking Bad from a toddler’s point of view,” “a Walking Dead from a toddler’s point of view,” and so on and so forth. Kids say the darndest things about brutal zombie- and meth-related murders.
4) Hold on. Hooooold on. Modern Family told from the perspective of a precocious, straight-shooting child? I liked this idea more in 1989 when it starred Bruce Willis.
