‘Twin Peaks’ Production Diary Week 2: David Lynch is back in town

WARNING: If you are very, very sensitive to MINOR spoilers, proceed with caution.

Filming on Showtime's “Twin Peaks” reboot is seemingly imminent (or perhaps is already underway?), and proof this week comes in the form of no less than series co-creator/director David Lynch, who posed with a fan on the streets of Snoqualmie, Washington, where exterior shots of the original series were filmed. Here is the bucket list-level tweet from tweeter Avlis Leumas:

Also currently in town is series co-creator Mark Frost, who was spotted dining with his creative partner in crime at the Salish Lodge & Spa — which just so happens to overlook the town's famous Snoqualmie Falls (Frost later confirmed he was at the establishment):

As we reported last week, the Double R (“RR”) Diner is also currently in the midst of re-opening for business, and this week crewmembers have been painting the facade of Twede's Cafe (the original site of the “RR”) blue, allegedly in preparation for filming (**UPDATE: the first image below shows the completed sign “RR 2 Go,” place your cherry pie takeout orders now):

Last but not least: Big Ed's Gas Station is apparently gearing up to serve all your automotive needs (at least if the below sign is any indication). Does this mean “Big” Ed Hurley (Everett McGill) is set to return? And what about his nephew James? Let us speculate endlessly.
