Nicholas Sparks, Dan Brown, E.L. James, James Patterson and Stieg Larsson are all names that you’d expect to see on a list of the New York Times bestsellers. But I guess if Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi can find her way on to that list then pretty much anyone can these days, and it shouldn’t surprise us that Grumpy Cat has a bestselling book, too. The Internet’s favorite miserable cat meme du jour has “written” Grumpy Cat: A Grumpy Book that “teaches the art of ‘grumpiness,’” according to CBS 5, and people just can’t get enough of it.
In fact, a number of people apparently lined up for a book “signing” in Tempe, Arizona yesterday so they could get pictures with Grumpy Cat (real name Tardar Sauce) and gush over the gloomy feline with her owner Tabatha Bundesen. All of this comes on the heels of Grumpy Cat getting an endorsement with Friskies and even her own brand of “Grumppuccino” coffee drinks.
A cat. Has its own line of coffee. If we could bury 2013 in a time capsule, I think this is the only thing that anyone would need to read 300 years from now.
