SAN DIEGO – Aimee Teegarden stars as the female lead in forthcoming new show “Star-Crossed,” but she revealed to HitFix an interesting connection between the CW show and HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”
David J. Peterson, who fleshed out the Dothraki language for the screen adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s “GoT” series, also helped to create the Atrian language for the sci-fi high-school drama. Atrians are the alien species that (crash) landed on Earth.
“[Peterson] does for a living, he has created a whole Atrian language. I love game of thrones and Dothraki,” Teegarden told HitFix at San Diego Comic-Con. “I wish there was a downloadable podcast of something how to speak [Atrian].”
Teegarden’s lead Emery, in “Star-Crossed” first episode, is presented with all the trappings of a love triangle, between human Grayson (Gray Damon) and Atrian Roman (Matt Lanter). Both are stunning, one has special markings that look like tattoos and “may or may not have some special skills or powers.” (Hint: May.) Emery may be “walking the line for quite a while” between Roman and Grayson.
