We’re big fans of comedy network Dead Parrot and, in particular, their YouTube Comment Reconstruction series, which harnesses the power of dramatic actors to turn the worst of the Internet into something enjoyable. (See previous installments here, here, and here.)
Their latest effort tackles an absurd conversation that took place under a news report about Nelson Mandela’s death. It perfectly captures the essence of using today’s Internet: A somber, historically significant event gets hijacked by juvenile insults and incoherent rambling, and the whole thing is framed by a frustrating struggle to identify whether someone’s a brilliant troll or a complete moron.
