This Bride Got Back At Her Crappy Parents With The Most Scathing Wedding Invitation Ever

Weddings come with enough drama as it is, but what does a couple do when the bride or groom’s own parents are a contentious source of the drama? Not invite them? Well, for one bride on Reddit who goes by “SkitzoCat,” not inviting her parents did not get the point across succinctly enough, as her parents were not the kinds to take a hint like, oh, not being invited.

SkitzoCat’s original post, which was from late last year, but has just recently gone viral due to Valentine’s Day (and now Jezebel), reads:

So my narcissistic parents abused me for 16 years before I ran away from home. Now they’re trying to bully their way (via family, they haven’t bothered to speak to me personally) into getting an invitation to my wedding. There was really only one way to respond.

What way would that be? With an exasperated phone call or curt email? No, just with the most scorching burn ever, in the form of a personalized (non)-wedding invitation:

Presumably SkitzoCat’s wedding has taken place by now, so here’s hoping it was a drama-free affair and her awful, awful parents didn’t decide to crash it. Mazel tov to the happy couple!
