Getting interviewed on live TV has got to be stressful. One minute, you’re minding your own business. The next, some news reporter guy is sticking a camera in your face and asking you a bunch of variations of the same question. As someone who hates being put on the spot, I know that I would royally screw up being interviewed on live TV, which is why I have sympathy for this guy who got caught off guard by ABC 11 cameras after a 13-year-old Raleigh girl fell 15 feet down into an icy pond and got stuck.
That being said, I can’t not laugh at the guy. “What were we talking about again?” is like something you say while discussing your weekend plans, not when a little girl falls into a frozen pond and almost dies. Better you than me, buddy.
