YouTube turns 10 years old this month, and I can’t decide if that seems like a really long time or not nearly long enough. Luc Bergeron, YouTube’s head director and video editor, assembled this three and a half minute tribute to remind us of all the hours we’ve spent over the past decade watching silly, funny, stupid, sad and inspirational videos.
Guest appearances include awkward kids and teens like David after Dentist, Star Wars kid and the Leave Britney Alone teen; animal vids like the Screaming Goat, Tiny Hamster Eating a Burrito, and Dramatic Chipmunk; ALL OF THE CATS; aspiring musicians such as Chocolate Rain, Rebecca Black, Justin Bieber (actually… let’s just forget that last one); and all of the personal victories and pop culture moments.
Happy birthday, YouTube. Thanks for making my job that much easier, and here’s to another 10 years of watching stupid sh*t on the internet.
