Lady Gaga blew everyone away with her performance of “Sound of Music” at the Oscars last month, which convinced everyone to look past Mother Monster’s otherwise “unique” demeanor. Then she quickly returned to her sense of normalcy when it was announced she’d star in the next season of American Horror Story: Hotel. How could Gaga top herself now?
By participating in Chicago’s annual Polar Plunge fundraiser, that’s how. The singer and her actor fiancé Taylor Kinney joined the cast of Chicago Fire and actor Vince Vaughn at Sunday’s event:
Special Olympics Chicago president Casey Hogan said Sunday that Gaga did the plunge with more than 4,500 other participants. Hogan says the singer’s appearance was “a very nice surprise.” (Via THR)
Kinney, his fellow cast members, and the majority of the other participants wore very little while taking the plunge — as is tradition. Gaga, meanwhile, did the deed dressed in black. Vaughn, meanwhile, took a different tactic:
Vaughn also made the plunge. The native of the Chicago suburb Lake Forest was dressed in his Chicago Blackhawks jersey and jeans. The actor went in up to his knees, then eased himself down backward in the water. (Via THR)
You do you, Vince. You do you.
