As we all know, the Japanese love their big, fluffy, over-sized animals costumes. Usually the odd cuteness of their creations are cartoonish in nature, in one way creepy, but generally benign. Apparently that has all changed, though, with the creation of this wearable feline monstrosity.
A man named Housetu Sato and his students at the Japan School of Wool created this cat head mask, called a “needle felted cat”, as a project for display at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.

Look at this photo. I mean look at it. The realistic fur, pointy devil ears, AND THOSE CROSSED EYES, GAHHHHHHH!!! I may never sleep again.
