Look, I’m sad too that Leonard Nimoy will no longer be attending Star Trek conventions, but we could treat the occasion with slightly less solemnity. Seriously, you’d think that in his final con appearance, he’d announced that a bomb had been installed in his skull and it was going to go off in 24 hours, not that he’d enjoyed attending conventions but didn’t have the time or energy anymore.
And who among us can blame him? He’s eighty, he’s been going to these things for decades, and he probably has enough money to live on. True, I’m sad I won’t see him again at a con, but you know what? Dude’s got a right to retire.
Just no more poetry, OK?
