Earlier this week, the NFL handed down a one-game suspension to LeGarrette Blount stemming from the incident last August in which Blount and then-Steelers teammate Le’Veon Bell were pulled over and arrested. Considering that Blount only got a marijuana possession charge that day while Bell was arrested for a DUI, it was expected that Bell would face a harsher punishment from the league. And, indeed, harsher it is.

So the Steelers will be without their top running back for most of the first month of the season. Given how much their offense suffering late last season in his absence, that’s not super great news for Yinzburgh. This time, however, Pittsburgh is slightly better prepared to deal, as the team picked up veteran free agent running back DeAngelo Williams in the offseason. Williams had an injury plagued 2014 that resulted in the lowest statistical output of his career. But he stands a better chance of being serviceable than the other backups they have on the roster.
