A day after claiming that Hitler didn’t use chemical weapons during World War II and referring to concentration camps as “Holocaust Centers,” Sean Spicer continued apologizing on Wednesday morning. Speaking to MSNBC’s Greta Van Susteren at Washington D.C.’s Newseum, Spicer concluded, “my bad … I screwed up,” and “I let the president down.”
“I made a mistake. There’s no other way to say it. I got into a topic that I shouldn’t have and I screwed up,” Spicer said. He went on to say that his comments were made all the worse for coming during the Passover as well as the Christian Holy Week. “To make a gaffe and a mistake like this is inexcusable and reprehensible,” he said. Spicer also said that the remarks distracted from the Syria situation.
Though Spicer says he let president down, he told Van Susteren that he had not spoken to President Trump about the incident, though it was reported that he had apologized to major Republican donor Sheldon Adelson.
Spicer took time during his interview with Van Susteren to complain about media competitiveness and (reporters focused on “being first”) using anonymous sources, which he compared to “a game of telephone.”
In his session with @greta, @seanspicer is showing that if he could only limit WH briefings to one questioner, he'd be much better spox

After moving on from Hitler and the media, Spicer said that “all options [were] on the table” regarding Syria, especially if chemical weapons were used again on children and babies.
