A Hobbled Chris Paul’s Game-Winning Layup Gives The Clippers An Epic Game 7 Victory

And he did it with a hamstring injury.

Chris Paul’s wild layup on a hobbled leg with one second remaining gave the Los Angeles Clippers a 111-109 Game 7 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night.

The Clippers superstar scored 22 of his 27 points after leaving the game in the first quarter with a left hamstring injury. Blake Griffin registered a 24-point, 13-rebound, 10-assist triple-double for Los Angeles, while Tim Duncan (27 points, 11 rebounds) and Danny Green (16 points, eight rebounds, five blocks) nearly gave the defending champions a rare Game 7 road win.

What a fitting end to perhaps the greatest first-round series in NBA history.

The Clippers advance to face the Houston Rockets on Monday night in the Western Conference Semifinals.
