While details of the actual plot are still mostly unknown, the casting for Batman vs. Superman is getting pretty heavy, what with Ben Affleck starring as the aging Caped Crusader, Gal Gadot signing on as Wonder Woman, and even Jason Momoa possibly starring as Martian Manhunter, Doomsday or my pick, Mister Mxyzptlk. Until those details pan out, we’re left to speculate and just make random things up, but at least Amy Adams was willing to offer a little insight as to what could be in store for Lois Lane in the Man of Steel sequel.
During an interview for American Hustle, SuperHeroHype inquired about the possibility of a Superman love triangle between Lois Lane and Wonder Woman, and I imagine that a dozen Jezebel keyboards started to click and clack.
“Am I interested? I don’t know. I mean, we’ll see. I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we’re not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries.”
Maybe I’m alone on this one, but the last thing that I’d like to see in the Man of Steel sequel is a love triangle of any kind, although Affleck and Momoa fighting over Henry Cavill? *fans self*
But if that is the plan, then I have two actual comic books that I’d like to recommend to Warner Bros. First, the love triangle aspect, from Lois Lane No. 93.
That’s pretty cut and dry, as Wonder Woman shows up and simply turns Adams into Lois Loser. But I’m a guy who likes a little more depth to the story, so I’d like to instead recommend Lois Lane No. 9:
Superman’s out getting his cape wet wherever he can while taking on the bad guys, and Lois is left to raise their obnoxious super child on her own. This is Oscar material, WB.
