So far, I know that Marlon Wayans is making a Fifty Shades Of Grey parody, but beyond that I’m a little confused. Is it called “Fifty Shades of Black” because… Marlon Wayans is black? And he has his pants down because… like… that’s what black people do? Like, “when white people be doing light bondage they’re all like… But if that was a brother he’d be all like…”?
It’s like he took three hacky joke premises and stuck them in a blender.
Marlon Wayans and producer-writer Rick Alvarez are tackling the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon with the comedy spoof Fifty Shades of Black.
IM Global, a subsidiary of Indian conglomerate Reliance ADA, is fully financing the film, which reunites the team behind the Haunted House franchise, including director Michael Tiddes.
Wait, Haunted House was directed by “Mike Titties?” Come on, that can’t be real. Who was his DP, Steve Pee Pee?
“We’re excited to pair up once again with Marlon, Rick and Mike on Fifty Shades of Black, and we look forward to together creating another wholesome slice of entertainment for all the family.” [says IM Global founder and CEO Stuart Ford]
Added Wayans: “We’re excited to be back in business with IM Global doing our comedic remix of this movie. Sex and comedy go hand-in-hand and I’m looking forward to having fun with this project. It’s amazing when a film of this caliber comes along begging to be made fun of. I’m really happy to be doing what I love with people I love to do it with. That double entendre was intentional.” [TheHollywoodReporter]
“I’m happy to be creating clean comedy for grandmas and babies alike. Now over to Marlon for some jokes about jacking off and f*cking.”
Anyway, get ready for Fifty Shades Of Black: Hey, Remember February 2015? Coming March 2017.
